How does Evergreen promote meaningful engagement?
We adopt a method called “meaningful engagement.” This involves participants actively contributing their ideas, skills, and experiences. Understanding that every individual has a unique set of abilities, we ensure that every activity allows varied levels of participation, promoting active conversation and memory-stimulation.
What kind of activities can members expect at Evergreen?
Our activities are diverse, catering to a broad spectrum of needs, abilities, and interests. Whether it’s brain games, painting or group discussions, we make sure that every activity fosters engagement and connection, benefiting all attendees, irrespective of their cognitive abilities. Who is the ideal candidate for your programs?
Our programs cater to a wide demographic of older adults. This includes those seeking social opportunities, those fairly mobile (independently or with assistance), those with minor physical or cognitive challenges, and even those showing early signs of Alzheimer’s or dementia.
What meal provisions do you offer?
At Evergreen we offer a continental breakfast, various lunch options and an “afternoon perk” towards the end of the day. Fruits, snacks and beverages are available throughout the day. We strive to provide a wide assortment of meals to satisfy all palates – if there is something special your loved one desires we’d be happy to accomodate.
How do you ensure health and safety, especially considering the vulnerability of your members?
Member safety is our utmost priority. We follow strict cleaning, disinfecting, and PPE standards as outlined by the CDC. We also have a protocol in place in the event of a staff member being sick, and discourage members who are sick from visiting Evergreen.
Do you provide transportation services to and from Evergreen Studios?
Yes! Transportation is provided by our friendly staff, who recognize that our members’ day starts when they are picked up from home, and end when they are dropped off.
Do you offer trial days for prospective members?
Yes! We offer complimentary guest passes. Schedule a tour with us to learn more.
How do you handle medical emergencies?
We have an emergency response protocol in place, and our proximity to local hospitals means that emergency services are quick to respond. Our practice is to accompany our members to the hospital, and immediately communicate to the family in the event of an emergency.
Do members have access to outdoor areas?
Absolutely! Outdoor space for box gardens, outdoor activities and nature walks are an important component to our programming.
